Overview

Audio Enhancer is a Chrome extension that applies real-time audio equalization to Spotify and YouTube. Your privacy is important to us, and this policy explains what data is (and isn't) collected.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect, store, or transmit any audio content you listen to.
• We do not collect browsing history, passwords, or personal information.
• We do not sell or share any data with third parties.

Data Stored Locally

The extension uses chrome.storage.sync to save your EQ preferences and custom presets. This data stays in your browser and syncs only across your own Chrome profiles via your Google account. We never have access to it.

Analytics (Optional)

The extension may include opt-in, anonymous usage analytics (e.g., which presets are popular) via PostHog. No personally identifiable information is collected. Analytics can be disabled, and the feature is inactive unless explicitly configured.

Permissions

• activeTab / tabs — to detect when you're on Spotify or YouTube.
• tabCapture — to capture and process Spotify's audio stream for EQ processing. Audio is processed locally and never leaves your device.
• offscreen — to run audio processing in a background document.
• storage — to persist your EQ settings across sessions.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date.
